Eldor Geneve Men's Rare Vintage All Stainless Steel Chronograph Waterproof Case
Eldor Genève Rare Vintage Chronograph – Landeron 148 – Stainless Steel 36mm – Recently Serviced – Original Dial
Description:
A rare and attractive vintage chronograph by Eldor Genève, from the 60s. It is fully in stainless steel and powered by the hand-wound Landeron 148 movement. The watch has just been serviced and is running well.
The dial is fully original and has not been redialed. It has a silvered/cream finish with applied tapered hour markers and Arabic numerals at 12 and 6. The two subdials have a concentric guilloché pattern. The register at 3 o'clock is the 30-minute counter and the one at 9 o'clock is the running seconds. A tachymeter scale runs around the outer edge. The dial is signed "ELDOR GENÈVE", and "17 RUBIS INCABLOC" and "SWISS" are printed on it. The lume-filled hands have aged to a cream patina that matches the dial.
Case: Stainless steel, 36 mm without crown (measured with a caliper), with slim, elegant lugs. The screw-off case back is engraved "ELDOR GENÈVE – ACIER INOXYDABLE" and "SHOCK-ABSORBER · WATERPROOF · ANTIMAGNETIC", with case number 167. The case still has crisp lines and its original brushed and polished finish. It has not been over-polished.
Movement: Landeron 148, manual wind, 17 jewels, Incabloc shock protection. It has been recently serviced, and the chronograph functions (start, stop, reset) work correctly. The movement is clean and in very good condition, as the photos show.
Condition: Very good vintage condition for its age.
The dial shows light, honest aging. There are some small spots and a little wear along the tachymeter edge between about 12 and 2 o'clock, all consistent with its age.
The crystal shows minor signs of use.
The case has light signs of wear typical of a watch of this age.
The watch on a brown leather strap
"No box or papers".
